MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Heavy rain and strong winds have left more than 20,000 residents of Alabama without electricity on Sunday morning. The situation is particularly dire in Montgomery County, where 179 active outages are affecting 10,386 customers, according to the Alabama Power Outages Map. This map also reveals that, as of 1:25 p.m., there were still 590 active outages across the state, impacting a total of 18,075 customers out of 1,603,477.
